Shepard Fires Bluff

Level 8
Marcus Shepard
Marcus Shepard

Omaha Hi-Lo

Four-way to a flop of Q35, Sergio Braga checked from the big blind before Marcus Shepard bet under the gun. Murilo Souza Figueredo in the cutoff, Brandon Bregman on the button, and Braga called.

The J turn then checked to Bregman, who took the initiative with a bet. Braga let his hand go this time, with the others putting in calls.

The 5 river prompted Shepard to lead out with a bet. Souza folded before Bregman entered a little tank.

"It's really close," he stated, but ultimately decided to toss in a call. Shepard could only show king-high with K742, leaving Bregman to take the pot with KQJ9 for two pair.

"I haven't been caught like that in a long time," Shepard said as he saw his chips shipped to Bregman.
