In the very first hand of the live stream, the action folded to Manish Madan in the small blind. He gave it a few seconds of consideration and raised for most of his severe short stack. Jason Reels in the big blind pondered about his decision and then reluctantly called for 1,700,000 total, Madan had 150,000 behind to the K♥9♣2♦ flop and his shove was snap-called.

The flop came 9♠5♣2♥ and Lepovic checked, Carlson jammed for 21,675,000, and was snapped off.

The K♠5♠2♣ flop was a tease with the additional wheel draw for Lipovic, while Lim picked up a gutshot straight draw himself on the 10♥ turn. Neither player improved with the 10♦ river and the kicker played for Lim to end the duel in his favour.

Lepovic came back from being the far shortest stack with four players left but was ultimately denied the maiden WSOP gold bracelet. His runner-up finish comes with a consolation prize of $435,572 while the retired businessman Lim claims the top prize of $653,839.
