Lim Jams the Turn; Lepovic Folds Correctly

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Brett Lim raised to 2,600,000 with the A♥A♣ on the button and Elan Lepovic called in the big blind with the Q♥J♥ to spike top pair on the J♣9♣7♦ flop. Lepovic checked to Lim and faced a bet worth 3,500,000 which he countered with a check-raise to 10,000,000.

Lim mulled it over for a while and double-checked his cards once again before he tossed in calling chips to see the 3♠ on the turn. Lepovic now checked and Lim suddenly switched gears to declare all-in for an effective 62,000,000 into a pot of only 26,400,000.

At that point, both players were separated by fewer than one full big blind and Lepovic talked through all possible hand combinations he could think of before asking for a count on the shove. After more than three minutes, Lepovic sent his top pair into the muck.

In a limped pot, Brett Lim in the big blind bet 2,000,000 on the 9♦3♣Q♥ flop and Elan Lepovic called from the button.

Lim checked the K♥ flop and called after Lepovic bet 5,000,000. The A♦ then completed the board, but was checked by both players.

Lim flipped over Q♠2♦ for a pair and scooped the pot against Lepovic's J♣8♠.

Another limped pot brought Elan Lepovic in the big blind and Brett Lim on the button on a flop of K♦7♣10♠, which was checked by both players.

On the J♣ turn, Lepovic bet 3,000,000, and was called. He then raised to 8,000,000 on the J♥ river with K♥5♥ for two pair.

Lim, who had hit trips on the river with Q♠J♠, went into the tank and even stood up to get a better look at the board. He eventually moved all in. Now in a tough spot, Lepovic thought for a minute before deciding to fold.

Elan Lepovic raised to 3,000,000 with the A♣8♣ on the button and was called by Brett Lim with the K♠3♦. Both checked the 4♠2♠2♦ and did so again on the 9♥ turn. Lim then bet the 7♦ river for 3,000,000 and Lepovic called to get some chips back after his previous two big lay downs.

Lim joked that he can't win any showdowns against Lepovic to his wife and daughter on the rail after this hand.

In the next hand, Lim removed all other options and simply jammed the button with the A♠4♣. Lepovic in the big blind had the marginally better A♥5♣, but elected to fold.

Brett Lim limped in with the Q♦10♦ and then called a raise to 4,000,000 with the 8♠8♦. The A♠2♣2♦ flop saw Elan Lepovic bet for 3,000,000 and Lim folded.

Lepovic then limped in with the A♣10♣ and Lim knuckled back the 9♦5♣ to find a gutshot on the A♦8♣7♥ flop. Lim opted to bet for 2,000,000 and Lepovic called with his hidden top pair, as they headed to the 5♦ turn. This time, Lim checked and Lepovic bet 7,000,000 to take down the pot without resistance.

The start of the new level didn't bring a ton of action and the stack sizes remained nearly the same in favour of Brett Lim once again.

Lim limped in with the 10♥9♣ and Elan Lepovic checked his option holding the A♣5♦. They checked the J♥4♠2♦ flop to the J♠ turn on which Lepovic check-called for 3,000,000 with his ace-high and gutshot wheel draw. Both then checked down the 10♠ on the river and Lim won the pot.
