He spoke about how he first discovered the game of 2-7 No Limit Single Draw, a poker variant in which he has won five bracelets. His tablemates were all ears, eager to learn more about this legend's rise to greatness. Baxter holds nearly double the average stack within the room and aims to one-up his second-place finish during this same event from 2023.

Manelic Minaya opened for 13,000 and got three callers - Thomas Kornecook on the button, Joe Cho in the small blind, and Dianlei Zhang in the big blind.

The quartet saw the flop K♥8♠A♥. After the blinds passed the action, Minaya kept the pressure up with a 19,000 bet. Both Kornecook and Zhang decided to ride the wave, while Cho got out of it.

Kornecook and Zhang got a reprieve from Minaya's aggression when all three checked the 8♦ turn. Minaya put on the pressure once again with a 45,000 be on the K♠ river, when action passed to him.

Zhang couldn't take it and folded. Kornecook made the call and immediately showed K♦Q♥ for trips. Minaya showed A♦K♣ for a full house and scooped the pot.
