EL Takes an "L" From EL
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Erick Lindgren was knocked out of the event by Edward Leonard’s full house.
Lindgreen, in middle position, opened the betting with a raise to 2,500, a little over twice the big blind (1,200). Leonard, in the hijack, made the call, along with two other players.
The flop of A♣Q♣4♣ prompted a 3,000-chip bet from Lindgren. Leonard was the lone caller.
Lindgren didn’t slow down after the A♠ turned, betting 13,000 chips. Again, Leonard called.
The K♦ on the river proved to be the card Leonard needed. He quickly called Lindgren’s pot-sized bet of just under 40,000 chips.
Leonard had an ace and a king for a full house, leaving Lindgren with a couple thousand chips, which he donated to the pot in his next, and final, hand.
