Weiss Defends Big Blind and it Pays off
Level 21
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
With the pot standing at around 300,000 and the board showing 8♥3♠7♥3♦, Dennis Weiss, in the big blind position, checked to Artem Maksimov, who was sitting under the gun. Maksimov bet 125,000, and Weiss decided to check-raise to 350,000. Maksimov made the call.
On the 5♠ river, it was Weiss who led out with a bet of 425,000. Maksimov took his time and counted his chips before making the call. Weiss showed K♠9♠7♣3♥ for a full house, which seemed enough for Maksimov as his cards found the muck quickly.
