Level 5 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

After a flurry of limps, Jeremy Ausmus raised the button to 9,000 and received five callers.

Six players saw the dealer spread out a flop of 346. Two checks happened before John Riordan jammed for roughly 75,000. After a few more folds, Ausmus shoved himself, which forced the rest of the table to fold.

John Riordan: 75JJ All in
Jeremy Ausmus: 8766

Riordan had the current nuts against Ausmus' set, flush draw, and higher straight outs. Ausmus found instant service on the 5 turn, as he improved to a higher straight. The 4 came on the river to improve Aumus again to an unnecessary boat, sending Riordan to the rail.

Richard Gryko
Richard Gryko

Jared Bleznick put out a raise to 3,500 from under the gun before the dealer had even finished dealing the cards. He picked up two callers, Richard Gryko in the cutoff and Chance Kornuth in the small blind.

The flop came 77J, and both Kornuth and Bleznick checked. Gryko took the lead with a bet of 4,000, which prompted Kornuth to check-raise to 15,000. Bleznick got out of the way, but Gryko stuck around.

The K hit the turn, and Kornuth continued for 38,000. After some thought, Gryko made the call once again.

On the K river, Kornuth slowed down and checked. Gryko then bet 45,000, nearly half his remaining stack. Kornuth burned through three timebank cards before eventually folding, sending a nice pot Gryko’s way.
