Phil Ivey Eliminated in 6th Place ($394,531)

Level 28 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey limped from the hijack, prompting the button and small blind to follow suit and limp too. Michael Duek wanted to play a bigger pot, though, and raised to 1,300,000 from the big blind. Only Ivey called, and the two saw a flop.

The flop came down Q49, and Duek continued with a bet large enough to commit Ivey to being all in. Ivey called immediately, and the cards were turned over.

Phil Ivey: KK44 All in
Michael Duek: AA102

Ivey was ahead, having flopped bottom set, but Duek had plenty of ways to catch up.

The turn 10 kept Ivey in the lead, but the river J wasn't so friendly to him, giving Duek the nut flush and sending Ivey to the rail.

Ben Lamb

Dennis Weiss opened to 700,000 in middle position and Ben Lamb three-bet to 2,400,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Weiss who four-bet shoved all in. Lamb slammed his chips on the table in frustration and used a time bank before calling off his stack of 5,600,000.

Ben Lamb: KK95All in
Dennis Weiss: AA97

Lamb was in trouble with Weiss holding the better pocket pair and having one of the suits covered. The flop came J64 which provided no immediate help to Lamb. The 10 on the turn gave him a straight draw but the 5 on the river bricked out, eliminating Lamb in ninth place.

Scott Bohlman

Evan Krentzman opened to 420,000, and when action got to Scott Bohlman, he opted to three-bet to 1,360,000. This was for most of Bohlman's stack, so when Krentzman four-bet, this put Bohlman all in, and he called.

Scott Bohlman: KK98 All in
Evan Krentzman: AKQ7

The J38 flop was safe for Bohlman, as was the 7 turn.

Unfortunately for Bohlman, though, the river A spelled disaster, giving Krentzman the best hand and sending Bohlman to the rail.

Aaron Kupin

Jeffrey Hakim raised it up from the cutoff and was called by Lautaro Guerra and Aaron Kupin in the blinds. The flop came K65 and the action checked around to the 8 on the turn.

Kupin led out with a pot-sized bet of 1,005,000 on the turn and Hakim called. Guerra got out of the way and the 10 completed the board. Kupin checked this time and Hakim shoved all in. Kupin had a decision to make for his remaining 275,000 chips and he burned through multiple time banks.

"I don't even know if I had the best hand on the turn," Kupin thought out loud. He eventually called it off and tabled A764 for an eight-high straight. Hakim, on the other hand, turned over 8765 for a flush and Kupin was eliminated.

Frank Brannan: AA85All in
Ben Lamb: KQJ9

Brannan was ahead with his pocket aces but Lamb flopped a pair and had plenty of two pair options. The 5 on the turn was a brick but the J on the river gave Lamb two pair to eliminate Brannan just before the break.

Anson Tsang

Evan Krentzman raised from the hijack to 350,000, and when action folded to Anson Tsang, he three-bet to 1,050,000, which was a large portion of his remaining stack. Action then returned to Krentzman, who four-bet, putting Tsang all in. Tsang called, and the players turned their cards over.

Anson Tsang: AK85 All in
Evan Krentzman: AKJ9

The flop Q107 gave Krentzman plenty of outs to win the pot, and the turn 9 moved him into the lead with a straight.
