Thomas Taylor opened to 300,000 on the button, with Robert Wells defending his big blind to see the 4♣4♦5♥ flop.
Wells checked to Taylor, who continued for 250,000. The call was made, with the A♥ turn producing checks from both players.
Another pair of checks followed the 3♠ river, with Wells showing down J♠9♠6♦4♠ for trip fours. That was good to claim the chips, as Thomas mucked his hand.
