Action continues at the 2025 World Series of Poker with Day 2 of Event #61: $500 No-Limit Holdem Freezeout kicking off at 11 a.m. local time inside the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Only 211 players are returning from a massive field that started with 5,082 entries, all of whom have their eyes set on the first-place prize of $229,628, as well as the coveted gold bracelet. The event generated a prize pool of $2,109,030, with all remaining competitors already having locked up a cash of at least $1,574.
Juan Lucena of Spain enters Day 2 atop the leaderboard with 1,990,000 and right on his heels is Anatoly Korochenskiy of Russia, sitting in second with a respectable 1,815,000. Sherwin Basti, who is representing the United States, rounds out the top three with 1,755,000.
Aditya Sushant stands out as the lone bracelet winner to to make the top ten list and enters the day in seventh with 1,605,000. Sushant took down the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Tag Team event at the 2017 WSOP for a career-best score of $75,319, along with his partner Nipun Java. He will look to leverage his big stack on Day 2 to set himself up for another deep run in search of a new high-score.
Jesse Jones is another name to look out for and sits not far behind Sushant in ninth with 1,530,000. Jones is an accomplished player with over $800,000 in total live earnings tallied on his resume. He also owns three WSOP Circuit rings, with his most recent win coming last month at the WSOP Circuit Harrah's Cherokee. He will be looking to use his experience to navigate the remaining field and capture another piece of WSOP hardware in the form of a bracelet.
