Filipski Jumps on the Double-Deuce Express to Chipsville

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With the pot at approximately 8,000, the flop came K27 and David Filipski checked from the big blind. Bruce Olson bet out from middle position for 3,500.

Filipski check-raised all in for 28,200, and this sent Olson into the tank for a good while. He eventually called.

David Filipski: 22All in
Bruce Olson: K10

Filipski was way ahead on the black runs, leaving Olson snowplowing down the greens. The 10 on the turn did give Olson some hope, but when the 5 bricked out the river, he was left on fumes. Filipski was shipped the pot and a full double-up.

Ramos Picks Away at Saeteun

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Gabriel Ramos opened to 2,400 from early position. Jennifer Saeteun called from the next seat over, and the rest of the table folded to send the two to a flop.

Ramos bet 1,000 on the Q44 flop, which Saeteun responded to with a call.

The A did not slow Ramos down, as he bet 1,500. Saeteun once again called to stay in the hand.

Ramos thought briefly before putting out 3,500 on the 5 river, which led to a fold from Saeteun.

Smith Finds Double Through Olson

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Eric Olson began the hand with a raise to 2,000 from the button. Gavin Smith opted to jam from the big blind for 10,900 and was called by Olson.

Gavin Smith: AKAll in
Eric Olson: KJ

Smith had Olson dominated heading to the flop, and it stayed that way as ace-high was good on the Q4898 board.

Chen Heats Things Up to Scoop a Nice Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a multiway pot with over 7,000 in the middle, the flop read 549. Jeffrey West in the small blind and Antony Friel in the big blind both checked, as did Joseph Licata in late position. This left Sunny Chen the option of betting out from the button for 3,000. All players folded apart from Friel, who made the call.

The turn brought the 7, and Friel checked again. This time Chen turned up the heat and bet out for 6,500, which sent Friel into the tank. He eventually folded his hand, and some nice aggressive play saw the pot pushed Chen's way with no showdown.

Steed Saved by the River

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a blind on blind duel, all the money ended up in the middle preflop between Carlos Ramirez in the small blind and Kay Steed in the big blind, and it was Steed who was at risk.

Kay Steed: QQAll in
Carlos Ramirez: AK

Not the flop Steed wanted to see when it peeled off 9KJ to send Ramirez into the lead, and it was looking grim when the 4 came on the turn. Then the magical 10 dropped on the turn for Steed, completing a straight, just as she was standing up to head back down under.

"Oh, I've got a straight, haven't I?" asked Steed, as she saw the pot being pushed her way.

Pawlak Out-Flops Balocco

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With roughly 12,000 already in the pot, Piotr Pawlak and Patricia Balocco arrived at the river on the 2Q356 board.

Pawlak bet 8,000 and was quickly called by Balocco. Pawlak showed QQ for a flopped set of queens. Balocco rolled over KK to show a cracked pair of kings.
