Aleksandr Shevlyakov was sitting under the gun when he went all in for his last 175,000. Action folded to Renji Mao on the button, and he made the call. Nobody else wanted to join the party, and it came down to a showdown.
Aleksandr Shevlyakov: K♣2♣
Renji Mao: Q♦Q♠
The flop was looking promising for Shevlyakov as it gave him a straight draw with 4♥3♦A♠. The 7♠ turn didn't do anything, but the 5♣ river gave him the straight and the much-needed double-up.
Adrien Delmas raised it up in the cutoff and Sergio Fernandez defended from the big blind. The flop came Q♥4♦3♠ and both players checked to the 5♠ on the turn.
Fernandez led out with a bet of 130,000 and Delmas called to see the 3♥ on the river. Fernandez put together another bet of 180,000 and Delmas took a minute before sending his cards into the muck.
Kharlin Sued on the button already had 400,000 of his chips already in the pot when Naor Slobodskoy in the big blind bet 50,000 on the J♥A♣3♣ flop. Sued called off his last 35,000.
Kharlin Sued: 4♥4♠
Naor Slobodskoy: A♠8♠
Slobodskoy flopped top pair and Sued was eliminated after the 6♥9♥ runout was revealed.
With around 180,000 in the pot, the flop came 7♠7♣5♥ and three players were in the mix. Srikanth Yadlapati checked from the small blind, Jonas Mackoff followed suit in the big blind, and Eric Yanovsky fired for 70,000 from middle position. Both blinds called to see the turn.
The K♥ hit the felt, and all three checked.
On the 7♥ river, Yadlapati led out for 80,000. Mackoff took a while before making the call, and the action was now on Yanovsky. After glancing at his cards and chips, he shook his head and muttered, “I’m such a nit,” before tossing in the call.
Yadlapati showed A♦8♥ for ace high. Mackoff revealed A♣8♣, also ace high. But it was Yanovsky who turned over K♦K♠ for a full house, kings full of sevens, scooping the pot with a slight look of frustration despite the win.
There was a raise to 60,000 and Jonas Mackoff shipped all in for 430,000 in the small blind. Eric Yanovsky joined the rest of the field by tanking for the next pay jump before shoving all in for slightly more. The original raiser folded and the two hands were tabled.
Jonas Mackoff: J♣J♦
Eric Yanovsky: 9♠9♦
The flop came 9♣8♦6♠ and Yanovsky took the lead with a set of nines. The 5♥ and 6♦ runout improved Yanovsky to a full house and Mackoff was eliminated.
Despite all of the players spending minutes in the tank waiting for pay jumps, that is not the reason for the tournament currently being paused. While the tournament director was in the process of breaking a table, three different tables asked for the clock to be called. During that, the entire field was accidentally redrawn with seven tables remaining.
For now, the clock has been paused until the tournament directors sort out the confusion and get everyone seated in their correct places.
Lars Kamphues kicked off the action from middle position with a raise to 60,000. Action folded to Renan Bruschi in the small blind, and he three-bet to 225,000, leaving himself just 15,000 behind. Kamphues went all in, and Bruschi called.
Renan Bruschi: K♠J♠
Lars Kamphues: A♣5♣
The 2♦5♥J♣ flop gave both players a pair, but Brushi led with a pair of jacks. The 2♠ turn and the 3♥ river didn't change anything, and Bruschi doubled up.
Robert Ashelm opened to 60,000 in the cutoff and Renji Mao three-bet to 410,000 from the small blind. Nazar Buhaiov flat-called in the big blind and Ashelm got out of the way. The flop came 10♥9♠7♣ and Mao pushed all in for his last 75,000 chips. Buhaiov quickly called and the cards were on their backs.
Renji Mao: K♥K♣
Nazar Buhaiov: A♠Q♥
The 5♦ on the turn and the 9♣ on the river was safe for Mao who earned a double up.
