Topsy Turvy Hand

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Bret Hansen went all-in for 93,000 and was covered by Rassoul Malboubi, who called to send the two to a showdown with Hansen at risk.

Bret Hansen: 99All in
Rassoul Malboubi: AQ

Hansen was ahead before the runout, but the AK3 flop vaulted Malboubi into the lead. It looked grim for Hansen, but he struck one of his outs when the 9 came on the turn to hit a set of nines.

This jubilation of spiking a set would not last, however, as the J river gave Malboubi a flush on the river to score the knockout.
