Bronstein Earns a Pot After Two Lengthy Tanks

Level 18
Noah Bronstein
Noah Bronstein

2-7 Triple Draw

Amauri Grutka raised from the cutoff and was three-bet by Matt Vengrin in the small blind. Noah Bronstein called cold in the big blind and Grutka called as well.

Vengrin and Bronstein drew one on the first draw while Grutka took two off. Vengrin bet and both Bronstein and Grutka called.

On the second draw, Vengrin stood pat, Bronstein drew one, and Grutka drew two again. Bronstein and Grutka then called another bet from Vengrin.

Everyone stood pat on the final draw and Vengrin checked to Bronstein, who bet. Grutka folded after tanking for a bit and Vengrin followed suit after tanking for a couple of minutes.

"Tell me this is a good fold," Vengrin said as he fanned out an eighty-seven.

"That's a good fold," Bronstein replied.

At another table, Mark Rubbathan was eliminated.

Double Knockout for Mcquillan

Level 18

No Limit Hold'Em

Pablo Quintana moved all in from the hijack, Siddharth Sudunagunta called all in from the small blind, and the action was on Jeffrey Mcquillan in the big blind. He decided to call with a stack that covered both players.

Pablo Quintana: J10 All in
Siddharth Sudunagunta: AK All in
Jeffrey Mcquillan: K7

The flop was Q75, putting Mcquillan in the lead, and the turn 2 gave him a flush. The Q river meant nothing, and Mcquillan won this three-way all in.

Gerhart Hits the Exit

Level 18

Pot-Limit Omaha

Tsutomu Inoue from the hijack, Jason Lipiner from the cutoff, and Kevin Gerhart from the big blind were tangled in a single-raised pot.

On the Q53 flop, Gerhart led all-in for his final 38,000. Inoue called and Lipiner folded after some deliberation.

Kevin Gerhart: Q884 All in
Tsutomu Inoue: AKQQ

Gerhart immediately placed his hand face-down on the table after seeing the top set of Inoue. Gerhart had less than two percent to survive which he could not do on the A3 runout as he hit the rail.

Level 19
Christopher Claassen
Christopher Claassen

2-7 Triple Draw

Christopher Claassen was down to his last 6,500 and committed his remaining stack from middle position. Caitlin Comeskey raised from the cutoff and Andrew Kelsall called from the big blind, drawing two while Claassen and Comeskey each drew one.

Both Kelsall and Comeskey checked after the first draw. Kelsall drew two, Claassen stood pat and Comeskey drew one. After the second draw Kelsall bet and Comeskey called.

For the final draw Kelsall and Comeskey each took one while Claasseen stood pat again. Kelsall then check-folded to a bet from Comeskey.

Claassen had a nine with 9x6x5x4x3x but Comeskey had 8x5x4x3x2x for eight-perfect to send Claassen to the rail.

Zhang Sends Out Cordovez With Six Different Straights

Level 20

Pot-Limit Omaha

Diego Cordovez limped the cutoff before Xiaochuan Zhang raised to 28,000 on the button, and Cordovez called to create a pot of 74,000.

On the AQ10 flop, Cordovez checked to Zhang who bet 40,000, Cordovez shoved for 87,000, and Zhang called.

Diego Cordovez: QQ65 All in
Xiaochuan Zhang: AKJ10

Cordovez was ahead with middle set against the wrap and two pair of Zhang. The K turn completed the straight for Zhang before the J fell on the river and Cordovez was sent to the rail. An additional note must be made that Zhang made broadway with all six combinations of his four-card hand, a rarity in the PLO world.
