In a preflop confrontation Kai Yang was all-in from early position for around 200,000. Thomas Taylor was all-in for a bit more from the button, Ken Fishman was all-in for slightly more than Taylor from the cutoff and they were up against Erik Seidel who had all three players covered from the small blind.
Kai Yang: K♠K♣Q♣10♦
Thomas Taylor: A♦Q♠Q♥4♦
Ken Fishman: J♥10♠8♠8♥
Erik Seidel: A♠A♣10♣5♣
The board ran out 2♥7♥4♠3♦5♦. Both Seidel and Taylor had a wheel straight to chop the main pot while Seidel took the side and
Ben Lamb raised to 140,000 on the button and was called by Michael Zulker in the small blind and Stefan Lehner in the big blind for a three-way pot.
It was checked to Lamb, who continued for a bet of 140,000 on the 3♦3♣7♦ flop. Zulker responded with a check-raise to 880,000, which got a quick fold from Lehner, but a tank from Lamb.
"You've got a flush draw, huh?" Lamb said as he poured himself a drink.
Eventually, Lamb let his hand go and Zulker collected the pot without showing.
With the turn showing 10♥3♠2♦2♠, chip leader Quan Zhou checked out of the big blind and Mike Gorodinsky in the cutoff bet 115,000. Zhou grabbed into his stack and then check-raised small, prompting a fold by his opponent.
Before raking in the pot, Zhou tossed his Q♦9♣7♥5♦ to the middle of the table.
Shortly after on the same table, Igor Holdaiy was all-in from the big blind on the Q♣J♣2♦ flop against Fernando Gutierrez on the button.
Igor Holdaiy: J♠J♦10♦6♠
Fernando Gutierrez: A♣K♥10♠8♠
"That's a fair fight," another player remarked but the 2♠ turn instantly locked up the double of Holdaiy for 235,000 to make the 3♦ river a formality.
With two players seeing a board of 2♦6♣J♠ Fernando Gutierrez bet 200,000 from the big blind, leaving around 150,000 behind. Sean Rafael shoved from the hijack and Gutierrez called, putting himself at risk.
Fernando Gutierrez:J♥10♣9♣6♥
Sean Rafael: Q♥Q♠J♦2♠
Gutierrez remained ahead with two pair, jacks and sixes on the 5♥7♣ runout to double up.
Robert Mizrachi raised to 85,000 in the cutoff and Jorryt van Hoof raised the pot to 295,000 in the small blind. Thomas Taylor shoved all in for 710,000 in the big blind which got Mizrachi to fold but Van Hoof called off his stack of 505,000.
Jorryt van Hoof: K♠K♥Q♣6♣
Thomas Taylor: A♥K♦5♥4♦
The flop came 8♠3♥2♠ and Taylor picked up a wheel wrap to go with his lone overcard. The 7♦ on the turn and the 9♥ on the river bricked out and Van Hoof held on for a double-up.
Andreas Zampas raised to 140,000 from early position and was three-bet to 480,000 by Ben Lamb in the cutoff. Action folded back to Zampas, who quickly called all in for slightly less to put himself at risk.
Andreas Zampas: K♠K♦Q♣J♠
Ben Lamb: A♣K♥Q♥8♣
The A♠6♠Q♠ flop improved Zampas to the nuts flush and the 10♥ turn left him one card away from a double up. However, the A♦ river struck lightning for Lamb — improving his two pair to a full house to eliminate Zamaps from the tournament
Quan Zhou opened to 105,000 from early position and Michael Wang three-bet to 315,000 out of the big blind. Zhou just called and the flop of K♥J♦2♣ hit the felt. Wang let out with a bet of 100,000 and Zhou raised, forcing Wang to call off his last 5,000 chips.
Michael Wang: A♠K♠9♦8♦
Quan Zhou: J♣10♥10♣7♣
The 2♠ on the turn narrowed Zhou's outs and the 5♥ on the river secured the double up for Wang.
Three ways to the K♣10♣8♦ flop, Sean Rafael checked out of the small blind and Brant Hale moved all-in for 355,000 in the big blind. Quan Zhou called in the hijack and Rafael folded after brief consideration.
Brant Hale: A♦K♦Q♥10♠
Quan Zhou: J♥10♦8♣7♣
Hale was ahead with the top two pair and the 2♦ turn added the diamond draw on top. However, the 8♠ came on the river and Zhou made a full house to send Hale to the rail with a bad beat story to tell.
Stephen Chidwick raised the pot off a shorter stack and then got his chips into the middle against Michael Rocco.
Stephen Chidwick: K♦K♥5♠3♥
Michael Rocco: A♥A♦A♣4♠
The 9♦8♥7♠6♠5♥ board delivered a straight on the board but neither of the players could use that, which ensured that the pair of aces remained ahead of kings to knock out Chidwick.
"You take his chips and his soul, eh?" Dominykas Karmazinas said with a grin on the face.
