Gkatzas Rivers Two Pair in a Three-Way Pot
Level 15
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Three players were engaged on a main pot of around 220,000 and a side pot of 6,000 on a board of 9♣6♥K♥2♠. Charles Phillips was all-in for the main pot, which left Andre Cohen and Dimitrios Gkatzas to fight for a side pot.
Cohen and Gkatzas checked the river 5♦ taking all three players to showdown.
Phillips tabled J♥9♥ for a pair of nines and a flush draw on the flop, Cohen hit top pair on the turn with K♠Q♦ and Gkatzas caught two pair on the river with K♣5♣.
Phillips quietly left the table as Cohen got out of his chair visibly frustrated with the turn of events where he missed having scooped a huge pot because of the river card. Gkatzas just scooped both the main and side pots without saying anything.
