Cowen Eliminated by Andrade
Level 3
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Three ways to the 8♥6♣5♣ flop, Tomer Daniel from under the gun had 15,000 chips out in front and Robert Cowen then bumped it up to 88,000 on the button. Gabriel Andrade called from the big blind and Daniel folded.
After the 3♠ turn, Andrade checked and Cowen pushed all in to get snap called.
Robert Cowen: 10♣9♣8♠5♦
Gabriel Andrade: 10♦9♥7♠4♣
Andrade had flopped the nut straight in the big blind while Cowen had two pair, a gutshot straight draw and a flush draw. The river paired the board but the 3♥ was of no help for Cowen, who became the first casualty.
