Level 15
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

2-7 Triple Draw

Anson Tsang and Dario Sammartino were heads-up to the second draw. Both players asked for one card, and Tsang led out from the big blind with a bet.

Sammartino called on the button, and drew one card after Tsang stood pat. After taking another look at his hand, Tsang sent out a bet. Sammartino quickly folded, and Tsang added to his growing stack.

Kupin Takes Out Couden

Level 14
Joey Couden
Joey Couden

Pot-Limit Omaha

Joey Couden moved all in from under the gun for his last 14,000, with Qiang Xu raising to 30,000 in the cutoff. Aaron Kupin made the call in the big blind, and both players checked the 658 flop.

Another pair of checks followed the Q turn, and Kupin fired 20,000 after the 4 river.

Xu made the call, and Kupin tabled KK32 for a straight. That was good for the side pot, while Couden showed AJ95 and wished the table good luck on his way to the exit.

Livingston Spikes the River to Bust Kessler

Level 13
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

Pot-Limit Omaha

Allen Kessler limped the cutoff before Alex Livingston potted to 12,000 in the small blind. Joao Vieira called in the big blind before Kessler limp-repotted to 48,000. Livingston called and Vieira folded.

On the 852 flop, Livingston led all-in for 13,500 and Kessler called with, somehow, the exact same stack.

Allen Kessler: KK98 All in
Alex Livingston: AJ105 All in

"What are you doing?" Kessler reprimanded Livingston after seeing the ace-jack-ten-five double suited.

Livingston replied, "Raising a good PLO hand."

The 2 turn counterfeited many of Livingston's two pair outs before the A fell on the river to give Livingston the winner as Kessler exited the tournament area dumbfounded.

Nakai Calls Off Incorrectly to Fall to Turner

Level 13
Jon Turner
Jon Turner

No-Limit Hold'em

Jon Turner opened from the hijack and was called by Ryuta Nakai in the cutoff.

On the 1097 flop, Turner check-called a bet of 18,000 from Nakai.

Turner then led on the 6 turn for 46,000 and Nakai called.

Turner was undeterred by the flush-completing 5 river as he jammed as the covering stack. Nakai, with 107,000 behind, would go deep into the tank as the clock was called after almost four minutes. He eventually decided to flick in the call for his tournament life.

Ryuta Nakai: 109 All in
Jon Turner: 87

Turner turned the straight and Nakai could not get away from top two pair as he hit the rail.

Aaron Kupin raised to 7,000 on the button, with Ioannis Konstas defending his big blind.

Both players checked through the 434 flop, with Konstas sliding out an overbet of 35,000 on the 5 turn.

Kupin made the call, and Konstas announced all in on the A river. Kupin snapped it off, and both hands were turned up.

Aaron Kupin: AA All in
Ioannis Konstas: J7

Kupin found a full house on the river, catching Konstas bluffing to earn the full double.

Not Like That! as Kabrhel Falls to Fujimoto

Level 12
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Pot-Limit Omaha

Martin Kabrhel potted to 8,500 from under the gun before Koji Fujimoto repotted to 29,000 from the cutoff, and Kabrhel called.

Kabrhel checked the Q74 flop, Fujimoto bet, and Kabrhel called all-in for his final 9,500.

Martin Kabrhel: AQ103 All in
Koji Fujimoto: AQJ8

Both were playing their ace-queen as a chop was the current status. Nothing changed on the 6 turn as Kabrhel begged, "Ten-ball! Three-ball!"

The J river completed the board as Kabrhel softly lamented, "Not like that-ball," and Fujimoto made two pair to eliminate Kabrhel from the tournament.

Kabrhel was gracious in his exit, thanking the floorman, "You are one of the best tournament director at WSOP...which is not very hard to do."

"I didn't even want to play this stupid tournament with these stupid games."

Kabrhel Enters; Chaos Ensues

Level 11
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

No-Limit Hold'em

Martin Kabrhel registered this tournament but waited until the No-Limit Hold'em round to take his seat, and he was sat between the small blind and the button, and had to sit out a hand.

"I came here to play the great Texas Hold'em and I only get five hands? This is ridiculous!"

Kabrhel received his first hand and was unaccustomed to the large symbols on the cards used for mixed games, utilized to help with visibility in the Stud games.

"Why are these cards so big? The symbols are crazy," Kabrhel continued, "Who made these cards?"

After a few folds, Kabrhel was sat in the small blind. Fabrizio Gonzalez opened the cutoff to 5,000 and Anson Tsang called on the button. In the small blind, Kabrhel announced "All-in, 17 million!" as he jammed for 55,000, and everyone folded.

The various media workers surrounded the table much to the dismay of Kabrhel, who complained, "No recording please sir, too small of buy-in for this. Where is your media pass?"

Level 11
Jon Shoreman
Jon Shoreman

Limit Hold'em

Action was heads-up to the 6K2 flop, with Jon Shoreman leading out with a bet from the small blind. Robert Wells raised in the big blind, and the call was made.

Shoreman led out again on the K turn, and Wells slid in a call. The 2 river saw Shoreman slow down with a check, producing a bet from Wells.

Shoreman took a moment before turning over AA as he folded. Wells flashed a king before raking in the pot.
