The 8♣ peeled off on the river, and Mary checked again. Phan thought for a while and then announced that he was all-in for 580,000, which had Mary covered. This sent Mary deep into the tank for three-four minutes before he tossed in a chip to make the call. Phan tabled 8♠8♥ for a rivered set as Mary turned over Q♥K♣ for one pair, which was no good, and he was sent to the rail.
