Arnoldi Wakes Up With Rockets to Eliminate Mackelprang

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Dragana Mackelprang
Dragana Mackelprang

With two players seeing a board of 55QJ and just under 15,000 in the middle Dragana Mackelprang checked from under the gun and Theo Arnoldi bet 11,000 from the hijack. Mackelprang called.

Mackelprang shoved for around 20,000 on the J river and Arnoldi quickly called with a covering stack.

Mackelprang had KQ for two pair, queens and jacks but Arnoldi had AA for aces up to send Mackelprang to the rail and take the last of her chips.

Hamada Knocks Out Lijo

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

It folded to Shoichiro Hamada in the small blind who put 1,200 towards the middle which was enough to put Lander Lijo in the big blind all in. Lijo obliged and put himself at risk against Hamada.

Lander Lijo: K7All in
Shoichiro Hamada: J10

Despite the bleak circumstances, Lijo got his money in ahead against Hamada. The 955 flop was safe for Lijo keeping him ahead in the race.

The 6 was of no consequence to Lijo, who was one card away from a double up, but the J river was a disaster for Lijo as it gave Hamada a pair of jacks to eliminate him from the tournament.

Frank Brannan: AKAll in

Despite the commotion, it turned out both players held the same hand.

Daniyal Gheba started the action with a raise to 1,000 from the button. Norman Shapiro made the call from the small blind before the big blind folded.

Foxen River Bet Takes It

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Kristen Foxen kicked the action off with a raise under the gun to 1,000. Zhou Lin called from the cutoff, which encouraged the player on the button and the player in the big blind to follow suit.

All four players checked on the K43 flop. Foxen then picked her betting lead back up on the 10 turn, placing a bet of 3,000. Lin called, but the other two players got out of the way.

The dealer then added the Q river to the board, and Foxen continued for 7,500. An indecisive Lin then toiled with whether or not to call. He cut out the chips ready to make the call, but ultimately decided just to let go of his hand, with a pained look on his face.

Overbet Turn, Give Up River

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The action was joined as Pierre Calamusa and Breno Drumond had already built a pot of 13,400 going to a turn card.

The flop 495 was joined by the 10 turn card. Calamusa placed a bet of 16,000 from the big blind, and Drumond, on the button, made the call.

The river brought the K, and when Calamusa checked, Drumond immediately checked behind.

Calamusa showed 65 for a pair of fives, which was no good versus Drumond's 108.

Calamusa questioned Drumond on whether a river shove would have got through. Drumond initially said he wasn't sure, before letting his opponent know it would have worked.
