Ladines Wins the Biggest Pot of the Tournament So Far

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Joshua Ladines
Joshua Ladines

Joshua Ladines limped under the gun before Richard Gryko raised to 480,000 from the small blind. Jeremy Ausmus called from the big blind, but Ladines limp-raised the pot to 2,120,000. Gryko potted it back to 6,840,000, forcing Ausmus to fold. Ladines started with 5,075,000, and called to put himself at risk.

Joshua Ladines: AA43 All in
Richard Gryko: AAQ3

Both players had aces, and it seemed likely that the result would be a chop pot.

The dealer put out a flop of Q94, giving both players a pair, and a chance to win the entire pot. The 10 turn didn't change anything, but the board-pairing 4 river improved Ladines to trips to win the pot, and take the chip lead from Gryko.
