Girouard Delivers Knockout Blow with Quads

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

This hand was recounted to PokerNews by a player at the table.

Javier Gonzalez raised to 1,200 before Steven Girouard three-bet to 5,200 in response. Vincento Dulepa opted to four-bet jam for approximately 12,800. Gonzalez folded before Girouard made the call to put Dulepa at risk.

Vincento Dulepa: 10x10xAll in
Steven Girouard: KK

Dulepa needed help, and his thin hopes of an upset were marginalized further on the AxK9x flop as Girouard flopped a set.

The scene got worse when the K hit the turn to improve Girouard to four of a kind, making the 8x river absolutely irrelevant.
