Brandt Cracks Takeya's Kings
Level 4
: Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
A series of raises between Lawrence Brandt from under the gun and Naoto Takeya on the button led to each player putting 19,500 each into the pot.
The flop came J♥7♥4♠ before Takeya bet 15,600. Lawrence Brandt gave it some consideration before he went all in for 53,300 in response. Takeya made the call to put Brandt at risk.
Lawrence Brandt: 6♥5♥
Naoto Takeya: K♥K♣
Brandt was loaded with outs as Takeya's kings needed to dodge several cards to hold.
It didn't take long for Brandt to get there when the 8♥ hit the turn to give him the flush.
Brandt wasn't out of the weeds yet, as Takeya could hit a heart on the river to hit a bigger flush.
That did not come to pass on the Q♦ river as Brandt doubled up through Takeya to cross the six-figure mark.
