Mitich Leaves to Applause

Joseph McMahon limp called from middle position. Kamil Filali and David Lazowski did likewise from the button and small blind, respectively.

That opened the door for James Mitich to shove all in for 26,000 chips.

"He's all in," said Jacob Mitich, speaking for his dad, who was in a wheelchair and needed assistance to pick up cards and move chips.

McMahon called while Filali and Lazowski got out of the way.

Mitich trailed and got none of the flop 9♥2♣5♠. He did pick up a straight draw on the 7♣ turn, but the A♣ on the river put an end to his tournament.

Players at the table gave a nice applause to the father-son duo.

"He did better than me," the younger Mitich said.
