Ong Bets with Straight on Board
Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
There were approximately 11,500 in the middle on a flop that read 8♠7♦5♥ when this hand was picked up.
Lawrence Brandt bet 9,500 from the big blind position and was called by Alexander Ong on the button.
The action froze on the 9♠ turn to bring the 6♠ river, which put a straight on the board.
Brandt checked again, but Ong responded with a bet of 18,000. Brandt gave it some consideration before he folded as Ong took down the pot without a showdown.
