Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Damilola Akinnusi opened to 13,000 from early position and was called by Yi Li on the button.
The flop came 10♥7♣J♠ before Akinnusi continued for 15,000. Li made the call.
Akinnusi slowed down with a check on the K♥ turn before Li bet 37,000. Akinnusi sprang out with a check-raise all-in. Li called to put himself at risk for 89,000 with one card to go.
Yi Li: A♠Q♣
Damilola Akinnusi: A♦K♣
Akinnusi had turned a pair of kings, but that proved to do more harm than good, as Li turned a Broadway using the king to improve to the best hand.
Akinnusi was drawing to a chop, but the J♦ river was not a queen as Li secured the double-up.
