"My Intention Was to Call" Sparks Controversy
Tyler Gaston opened to 30,000 under the gun. On his direct left, Greg Garabedian tossed out two green T-25,000 chips. The table argued over whether it was a call or a raise before the floor was called. It was ruled as just a call.
"My intention was to call," Garabedian made clear as Nathan Fair also came along from the big blind.
On the Q♥10♦2♦ flop, it checked to Garabedian who put out a bet of 90,000. Fair folded before Gaston check-raised to 220,000. Garabedian quickly announced all in for about 1,150,000, covered slightly by Gaston.
A confused Gaston went into the tank for a while as Garabedian remained stoic. He eventually folded as Garabedian tabled A♥A♣, sparking some controversy regarding the preflop misclick action.
"It's an angle for sure," Gaston commented as Garabedian defended himself while stacking his newfound chips
