Macdonald Takes a Large Chunk off Brown's Stack

Heads-up on a flop of 6♠2♥J♦, Thomas Macdonald checked from the small blind and Jeremy Brown bet 25,000 on the button. Macdonald then check-raised to 100,000 and, undeterred, Brown made it 230,000 to go. Macdonald called.

Both players checked on the 9♠ turn and Macdonald checked a final time after the Q♣ completed the board. Brown cut out a bet of 350,000 and placed it into the middle, but was met with a prompt shove from Macdonald for about 725,000 total.

Brown let his hand go after a bit of thought and Macdonald took down the large pot without a showdown.
