Shathaya Doubles Through Goldman

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Marc Goldman raised to 125,000 first to act and was three-bet to 315,000 by Sinan Shathaya in the hijack. Action folded back to Goldman and he called.

Goldman checked to Shathaya, who continued for 200,000 on the JA9 flop. Goldman tanked a while and then said, "Alright," as he slid in a raise large enough to put Shathaya all-in. Shathaya quickly committed his last 1,100,000 into the middle and hands were revealed.

Sinan Shathaya: AKAll in
Marc Goldman: A8

Goldman found himself dominated, and the 5J runout changed nothing to award Shathaya a late-night double-up.
