"New Play, Boris?"
Level 24
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Romain Lewis raised to 100,000 from early position to see Boris Kolev three-bet to 160,000 in the cutoff and Lewis called.
The flop rolled out Q♦7♥3♥ and Lewis check-called a bet of 125,000 from Kolev.
On the turn 8♠, Lewis checked once more over to Kolev, who bet 225,000 and Lewis called again.
Both players checked the river 5♣ and Lewis tabled K♠Q♠ for a pair of queens.
"It was a mistake," Kolev said in reference to his three-bet, mucking his hand.
"I was wondering," replied Lewis. "I was thinking, 'Is this a new play, Boris?'"
