Hand #167: Saaskilahti Calls Incorrectly
Hand #167: Lucas Jumalon limped with Q♠5♦ on the button, and Lauri Saaskilahti checked holding J♦3♦ in the big blind.
Saaskilahti checked the 4♣K♠A♠ flop, and Jumalon continued for 4,000,000. The call was made, and another check from Saaskilahti followed the J♠ turn.
Jumalon fired twice the pot, betting 40,000,000. Saaskilahti called again to see the 6♠ river, checking once more. Jumalon took a moment before betting 180,000,000, sending Saaskilahti into the tank.
"To hero or not to hero," Saaskilahti said aloud after taking a few minutes. "You have it?"
Saaskilahti studied his opponent while Jumalon sat still.
"I only have a jack," continued Saaskilahti. "It could be good."
After taking some more time, Saaskilahti announced a call. Jumalon showed down his flush, sending his rail into a frenzy. That left Saaskilahti with less than 10 big blinds, as Jumalon regained a massive lead.
