Shak Sent Home After Brutal Runout
Level 20
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Dan Shak raised to 30,000 from late position and Joey Weissman in the small blind put in a three-bet to 120,000. The big blind got out of the way and action was back on Shak, who put in another raise to 400,000.
Weissman took his time to go over his options before going all in, covering Shak. Shak quickly called putting his entire 1,005,000 stack on the line.
Dan Shak: A♦K♣
Joey Weissman: K♠K♥
The Q♦6♠A♠ flop gave the advantage to Shak, leaving Weissman only with runner-runner outs or the case king. The tables turned yet again on the K♦ turn, leaving Shak with only one out since one of the two aces were folded pre flop.
The river was the insignificant Q♣ and Weissman eliminated Shak in one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far.
