Foxen Hits the Rail

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Kristen Foxen was all-in and at risk for approximately 390,000, and was called by Sean Perry with the covering stack.

Kristen Foxen: K10All in
Sean Perry: QQ

The flop gave Foxen additional outs when it came 10A2 to pair her ten.

Foxen's outs grew on the 3 turn to give her a flush draw, but she was unable to convert on any of them on the 5 river and was eliminated late on Day 2.

Zambanini's Tournament Comes to an End

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With Matthew Zambanini forced all in from the big blind, Kristen Foxen raised to 40,000 from the hijack and Elvyn Bello three-bet the cutoff to 100,000. Foxen folded, and the cards were tabled.

Matthew Zambanini: 42 All in
Elvyn Bello: A9

Bello had the best hand preflop with ace-high, and he improved to top pair on the A68 flop. Zambanini was drawing dead after the 10 turn as the 6 on the river was just a necessity.

Racener Busts Soverel

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

John Racener went all-in for 225,000 and was called by Sam Soverel, who had less and was at risk for his tournament life.

Sam Soverel: AQAll in
John Racener: 99

The flop was low as the dealer fanned out 663 to keep Racener in the lead.

A 2 was the blank turn before the 8 river sealed the deal as Racener hit an unnecessary full house to eliminate Soverel.

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Anatoly Nikitin and Vitalijs Zavorotnijs clashed preflop as Zavorotnijs was at risk.

Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: K6All in
Anatoly Nikitin: 22

Nikitin clung to his lead on the QA10 flop, but Zavorotnijs was drawing to even more outs.

The 5 turn altered nothing, but Zavorotnijs found his salvation when the K hit the river to keep him alive.

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
2026 WSOP
2026 WSOP

There was no shortage of big moments and big hands during the first week of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Daniel Negreanu lost a 10:1 chip lead thanks to a three-outer in the Sweet 16 of Event #7: $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship. Phil Hellmuth made an 18th bracelet run that fell short when he ran into the nut flush. And one player avoided complete disaster when he suffered a brutal cooler with quads.

Perry Chips Up on the Bubble

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Sean Perry
Sean Perry

Keyavash Hemyari raised to 30,000 from middle position and Sean Perry three-bet the cutoff to 80,000. Georgios Sotiropoulos four-bet out of the big blind to 190,000, and only Perry came along with a call.

Sotiropoulos put out a continuation-bet of 115,000 once he saw the 368 flop reveal itself. Perry called.

A 3 arrived on the turn, and Sotiropoulos placed out a second barrel of 150,000. Again, Perry called.

With 435,000 left in his stack, Sotiropoulos checked on the 8 river. Perry jammed with the covering stack, and this did the job as Sotiropoulos returned his cards to the dealer.

Bubble Continues

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Barak Wisbrod bet 200,000 on the river of a board that read JJ810Q, and Gumz called it off to be at risk as the room huddled around the table to see the result.

Wisbrod tabled AK for ace high.

Gumz had the goods. He showed 88 for a full house to secure the double up and keep the bubble going as 96 still remain.
