The final nine players are taking a 15-minute break.
Play resumes in Level 24 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an average stack of 1,740,000.
The plan is to play down to five players tonight.
Dylan Smith opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and was called by Gabriel Paul in the small blind and Philip Jaffe in the big blind.
All three players drew one.
Paul checked to Jaffe who bet 125,000. Smith then put in a raise to 400,000. Paul got out of the way but Jaffe flicked in the call after some deliberation. Smith tabled 9x7x4x3x2x for the winner as he now sits atop the chip counts.
Philip Jaffe raised to 65,000 on the button and in the big blind, Stephen Hubbard three-bet to 200,000, which Jaffe called.
Hubbard drew one and Jaffe drew two to see action check through. Hubbard's Jx10x8x3x2x was good for the pot as Jaffe mucked his hand.
David "ODB" Baker opened to 75,000 from the hijack before Tal Avivi three-bet to 275,000 from the cutoff, and Baker called.
Both players drew one as Baker checked it over to Avivi, who jammed for 490,000 effective as the covering stack.
Baker went deep into the tank, eyeing down his opponent and taking inventory of his remaining stack. Eventually, he slammed a stack into the middle to put his tournament life at risk.
David "ODB" Baker: 7x5x4x2x2x
Tal Avivi: 9x9x6x3x2x
Avivi went for the bluff after pairing his nine, and Baker made an incredible call with a pair of deuces to secure the full double.
Anthony Lamps opened to 75,000 in the hijack and Per Hildebrand called in the cutoff.
Lamps stood pat and Hildebrand took one.
Lamps jammed for 465,000 effective as the covering stack and Hildebrand snapped it off.
Per Hildebrand: 8x6x5x4x2x
Anthony Lamps: 10x3x3x3x2x
Lamps went for the bluff with the trip threes but Hildebrand made a monster to secure the double.
Philip Jaffe opened to 60,000 from the cutoff before Stephen Hubbard three-bet to 225,000 from the small blind. In the big blind, Gabriel Paul jammed for 840,000. Jaffe folded and Hubbard called.
Hubbard took one and Paul stood pat.
Gabriel Paul: 10x8x5x3x2x
Stephen Hubbard: 7x6x5x2x
Paul had a made ten against the seven draw of Hubbard, who peeled a 5x to pair as Paul doubled.
Philip Jaffe raised to 65,000 in the cutoff and Jerry Wong moved all in for 745,000 in the small blind. In the big blind, Stephen Hubbard called while Jaffe folded.
Both players stood pat.
Jerry Wong: 10x9x8x5x4x
Stephen Hubbard: 8x7x5x4x3x
Wong's ten-nine was no good against Hubbard's eight seven and he was eliminated from the tournament.
Jorge Ufano called in the hijack for all his chips to see Per Hildebrand in the cutoff and Tal Avivi in the small blind both call. Timothy Wong checked his option in the big blind.
Avivi drew four, Wong drew one, and Ufano and Hildebrand both drew two. Avivi checked over to Wong who bet 75,000 and everyone folded.
Jorge Ufano: 10x7x6x XxXx
Timothy Wong: 10x7x6x4x2x
Ufano flipped a 4x to leave him chopping at best. His final card was a 9x and he was eliminated from the tournament.
Anthony Lamps opened to 75,000 in the hijack and Per Hildebrand called on the button.
Both players drew one card.
Lamps led for 250,000, and Hildebrand put in the call after a minute in the tank. He got shown 7x6x5x3x2x by Lamps, who dragged a substantial pot off the Swede.
