McEwen's River Raise Gets Paid Off

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Balakrishna Patur opened to 60,000 from middle position and picked up two callers in Preston McEwen on the button and Joshua Wang in the small blind.

On the JK3 flop, Wang checked, and Patur continued for 50,000. McEwen called while Wang got out of the way.

The K turn paired the board and Patur fired another 50,000. Once again, McEwen called.

After the 5 completed the board, Patur stayed with the same sizing and bet 50,000 for a third time. This time, McEwen raised to 475,000. Patur confirmed the amount with the dealer before making the call.

McEwen tabled KQ for trip kings. It was enough to win the pot as Patur quietly sent his cards into the muck, adding another healthy pot to McEwen's growing stack.
