Vargas joked with the dealer, asking for a split as the flop came 5♠9♣Q♣. He called for a ten on the turn, but the 3♣ changed nothing.

The A♣ river improved McEwen to a pair of aces, but Vargas held the higher kicker with a king, winning the pot and eliminating McEwen from the tournament.
