Battle of the Titans

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The top two chip leaders were caught heads-up in a hand with a massive pot.

Robert Kuhn opened to 200,000 from early position. Antonio Vargas in middle position went beyond and made it 455,000. When action returned to him, Kuhn took his time to mull things over, then finally decided to four-bet to 2,000,000. Vargas gave Kuhn a stare-down, looked at his chips, and made the call.

The dealer flopped A64. Kuhn didn't let up the pressure and added another 700,000 to an already huge pot. Vargas decided to hang on and called.

On the turn 6, Kuhn, unstoppable, fired 1,400,000, sending Vargas to the tank. He counted his chips as if he would call but mucked his cards instead.

"Good bluff, Robert," Vargas said.

As he scooped the massive pot, Kuhn replied, "You are not one to be bluffed."
