In the small blind, Malcolm Franchi completed but Antonio Vargas defended by raising to 700,000. Franchi stared Vargas down and called to see the flop.

Despite Franchi's intense stare, Vargas continued with 500,000 after action was passed to him on the 2♠J♦8♦ flop. Franchi called once again without taking his eyes off Vargas.

Vargas, unfazed, continued the pressure with 2,300,000 after a third check on the Q♦ turn. Finally, Franchi looked away and threw his hand to the muck pile.
