Crazy Eights Are Good

Level 15 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Brian Rast
Brian Rast

Jesse Lonis raised to 110,000 from middle position. Zachary Grech and Brian Rast, seated elbow-to-elbow to Lonis' left, each made the call.

The flop hit 88Q. Lonis and Grech both checked. Rast bet 135,000. Only Grech continued.

The turn brought the A, and a check-check.

When the 5 landed on the river, Grech casually placed a bet of 175,000 on the table. Rast called.

Grech turned over two red eights 88 to show he had flopped four-of-a-kind.

"That's good," Rast said. "Yeah, that's good."
