Wang Sniffs Out Ruban's Bluff

Yong Wang raised to 28,000 on the button and only Ivan Ruban called out of the big blind.

The flop came down Q♠10♠10♥ and both players checked to see the 4♠ arrive on the turn. Ruban bet 52,000, which Wang called.

A 3♣ hit the river and Ruban bet 127,000. The bet was for around a third of Wang's stack, and after giving it some thought, Wang flicked in the call.

Ruban showed a missed straight draw with K♠J♦, and lost the pot to Wang's 8♣8♦ for just a pair of eights, two pair with the tens on board.
