Normand Jams on Rodrigues

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Michael Rodrigues limped from the hijack, Josh Arieh completed in the small blind, and Frederic Normand checked his option in the big blind.

On the 854 flop, it checked to Rodrigues who bet 375,000 and only Normand called.

Normand checked again on the 6 turn as Rodrigues potted it for 1,350,000. Normand took some time before he called.

The river brought the 2, counterfeiting previous nut lows. Normand then led all-in for 3,425,000 effective as the covering stack, and Rodrigues folded right away.

Michael Rodrigues: AQ72 All in
Dennis Weiss: AKQ3

Neither player made a low on the JA runout, and Rodrigues made two pair, aces and deuces, to scoop the pot and double back to his pre-break stack.

Rocky Paradise: AK103 All in
Michael Rodrigues: AA43

Paradise flopped a wrap on 6JQ. The Q turn provided Rodrigues with two pair, but Paradise's straight draw completed on the K river to secure his double-up.

Normand on the Rise

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Frederic Normand defended his big blind against Dennis Weiss, who had tossed in a pot-sized raise to 420,000 from the cutoff. Normand then checked to Weiss, who continued for 340,000 on the 65A flop.

Normand thought for a while before he raised to 920,000, forcing Weiss to fold and taking down the pot.

The next hand, Normand limped in from the small blind. Rocky Paradise checked his big blind and called when Normand made the minimum bet of 120,000 on the 62A flop.

Normand sized up to 300,000 on the 9 turn. Paradise had seen enough and quickly mucked, remaining the short stack at the table.

Jordan Polk
Jordan Polk

Jordan Polk potted to 420,000 under the gun with 35,000 behind. He received calls from Frederic Normand on his left and Josh Arieh in the big blind.

On the K97 flop, Polk got his last 35,000 into the middle and both opponents called.

The 6 turn and J river checked through on the side.

Jordan Polk: K1042 All in
Frederic Normand: AJ87
Josh Arieh: Q873

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Ryan Hansen made it 350,000 on the button. Josh Arieh three-bet the pot in the small blind, after which Hansen moved all in for roughly 2,750,000. Arieh snap-called to put Hansen at risk.

Ryan Hansen: AA82 All in
Josh Arieh: AQ72

Hansen locked up the pot on the A10210 turn with a full house, and the meaningless 8 river completed the board as he raked in a significant double-up.

On the next deal, Jordan Polk got his stack of about 1,000,000 in from the small blind against Arieh on the button, giving Arieh another chance to score an elimination.

Jordan Polk: AA107 All in
Josh Arieh: A874

Arieh made a low on the 725 flop, and the 7 turn gave both players trip sevens. The 4 river upgraded Arieh to a full house, but Polk made the same seven-low as Arieh to get a quarter of the pot back.
