Suvarna Puts a Dent in Zlotnikov's Stack

Santhosh Suvarna opened from under the gun to 500,000 with A♠A♦ and Anatoly Zlotnikov flatted in the small blind with Q♠9♠.

The flop came A♥7♣Q♥ and both players checked to the 2♦ turn. Zlotnikov checked again, and Suvarna bet 650,000, which Zlotnikov called.

The 9♦ fell on the river, giving Zlotnikov two pair against Suvarna's top set. Zlotnikov checked once more and Suvarna tossed out a bet of 1,700,000, which Zlotnikov quickly called.
