Dara Taherpour opened from under the gun and Thomas Miressi, seated directly to his left, put in a three-bet. Action folded back to Taherpour, who moved all in. Miressi quickly called, sending the cards on their backs.
Dara Taherpour: A♣8♠
Thomas Miressi: K♥10♥
Despite holding the better hand, Taherpour stood up from his chair before the board was dealt, seemingly expecting the worst.
His instincts proved correct as the board ran out 2♣K♠7♥7♣5♣, pairing Miressi's king and improving him to two pair. Taherpour was eliminated, while Miressi collected the pot.
