Zipfel Zips into the Chip Lead
Dan Colpoys limped from under the gun and action folded to Jason Zipfel on the button, who raised pot to 270,000. Giuseppe Pantaleo sat in the small blind, went into the tank, and then re-potted to 930,000.
Zipfel almost instantly re-re-potted, which was enough to put both players all in, and Zipfel had Pantaleo covered. Pantaleo went deep into the tank for two-three minutes before he made the call for his tournament life.
Giuseppe Pantaleo: K♣K♦10♥8♦
Jason Zipfel: A♣A♠7♦4♥
Not the flop Pantaleo was looking for of 7♥2♥A♦ but the K♠ turn gave him some slim hope. No miracle quads on the 6♥ river and Pantaleo was sent to the rail whilst Zipfel raked in the monster pot to soar into the chip lead.
On the outer tables we also lost Ankush Mandavia, Abhishek Goindi and Jorryt van Hoof.
