Pitavy Runs Into Petrangelo's Straight
Level 8
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Emilien Pitavy opened 24,000 from the button and Nick Petrangelo defended from the big blind.
Both players checked the 3♥7♥4♦ flop but Petrangelo led out for 52,000 on the 6♦ turn. Pitavy called.
On the K♠ river, Petrangelo bet enough to put Pitavy all in. With approximately 175,000 behind, the Frenchman went into the tank and called with A♥K♣ for top pair. Petrangelo flipped over A♠5♣ for a straight and Pitavy was eliminated.
