Welcome back to PokerNews for continued coverage of the 2026 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

Today's action sees the start of Event #39: $5,000 Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold'em, a newer event on the WSOP schedule that debuted two years ago as Mark Checkwicz topped a 680-entrant field for $573,876.

In 2025, David "ODB" Baker defeated a field of 801 players to win $646,845 and his fourth bracelet.

Action kicks off today at noon local time with blinds of 100/200/200 and players beginning with stacks of 50,000. Day 1 will play ten levels with 20-minute breaks every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 6, around 6:40 p.m.

Levels will last 60 minutes throughout the event, with the winner determined on Day 4, Monday, June 15, at a to-be-determined time.

Players must be at least 50 years of age to enter and are allowed one reentry. Late registration will remain open for 12 levels and will close around 2:15 p.m. on Day 2.
