Jack-High Good Enough for Korn
Level 22
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Garrett Crites in the big blind and Andres Korn on the button had already built a pot of 130,000 when the flop dropped K♣4♦5♥.
After action was checked to him, Korn fired 40,000. Crites called to see the next card.
Both players checked the Q♠ turn. On the Q♥ river, Crites restarted the action with 80,000. Korn called.
Crites showed 7♦6♥ for a busted straight draw. Korn turned over J♠8♥ to take the pot, to the surprise of Qing Lu, who was at the table, and said, "You called with jack-high?"
