Lipton Gains Chips; Rivera Loses Some
Level 31
: Blinds 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
On one of the first hands of the day, Chad Lipton checked from the big blind on a board of J♠4♥2♦4♣, and Marc Rivera checked behind from middle position.
A 7♣ hit the river and Lipton bet out for 300,000. Rivera tank-folded, and Lipton was the first player to chip up at the final table.
A few hands later, Nariman Yaghmai three-bet jammed from the big blind over an Arie Kliper hijack open to take down the pot preflop.
Then, Yaghmai completed from the small blind and Rivera checked his option in the big blind.
Both players checked the 2♦9♥4♦10♣Q♣ runout all the way down. Yaghmai turned over 9♣3♣ for a pair of nines to win the pot.
