Katz Nearly Doubles, Becker Scoops Big Side Pot
Level 11
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Andrew Becker raised to 5,500 in the hijack, followed by Terrance Reid three-betting to 20,000 on the button. Cary Katz then went all in for 32,000 in the small blind, and both opponents called.
Becker's remaining 41,000 flew in on the 5♥2♥3♦ flop, and all 15 cards were tabled.
Cary Katz: K♦J♠4♦3♣2♠
Andrew Becker: A♥K♠6♥4♥2♣
Terrance Reid: A♦A♣K♥7♠5♦
Katz made a full house on the 3♥10♣ runout to get half of the main pot, while Becker's wheel remained best both ways to scoop the side pot. Katz almost got back to a starting stack, a similar amount to what Reid ended up with after paying Becker off.
