Calvin Anderson Seeking Second Championship Title in $10,000 Razz
A starting field of 155 hopefuls has been whittled down to just eight players in Event #48: $10,000 Razz Championship. Today at 1 p.m., they will return to the Horsehoe and Paris Las Vegas to compete for the bracelet and $357,026 top prize that goes along with it.
The current man to beat is none other than five-time bracelet winner Calvin Anderson, who will bring 1,865,000 to battle with on the felt. Anderson has already won this event in 2018 and will be looking to solidify his position as a top mixed-game player with another victory today.
Anderson will have his work cut out for him, however, as he will have to contend with a table full of mixed-game talent. Sitting fourth in chips with 1,380,000 is Philip Sternheimer, who holds one bracelet and is renowned for his proficiency in mixed games with over $9,000,000 in live tournament earnings.
Also present at the final table is Yuval Bronshtein (625,000), who will be contending for his third WSOP bracelet. A staple in mixed-game tournaments, Bronshtein brings plenty of experience with over $4,000,000 in live tournament earnings and cashes dating back to 2007.
